SNOW SHOE - JANUARY 4, 2015
It was only Fred and I - and 3 dogs - that braved the weather! We decided that it was probably more sensible to stay 'closer to home' than go to the Brandon Hills. I guess we could have been even more sensible - and not gone at all! The wind was mean as we headed down to the river - but once out of the wind and in the sun - it was actually quite nice. Keiffer managed to get momentarily lost in a snow bank - much to the amusement of us! The river actually had an open spot that resembled a 'hot spring', billowing steam - which expanded suddenly as I stepped over it! We all had a good hour of exercise as we trudged through some quite deep snow in places - but it was just great to be out doors on such a sunny day.
